Opportunities to grow throughout the year
Throughout the year, we run a number of short courses or longer-term programs that help people grow and connect in different ways.
Alpha
Running Term 1 and 2 each year, Alpha is for everyone, everywhere — to have the opportunity to explore faith, ask questions, share stories, and encounter Jesus in a way that is real and personal, no matter your age, background, language, or belief. Alpha at Syndal includes three key elements: Connection over a free meal, Content through short well-produced video sessions with discussion breaks, and Conversations — as much or as little as you are comfortable with. The only silly question is the one you don't ask! It's a free 8 week course open to everyone.

The Marriage Course is for any couple who wants to invest in their relationship, whether you have been together for one or seventy-one years, or whether you have a strong relationship or find your relationship a challenge. Couples from diverse cultural or religious backgrounds or no religious affiliation have all expressed appreciation after participating in the course. The course runs for 8 weeks via Zoom and is free.

Whether you're new to the Bible or want to go deeper, The Bible Course is for you. It is accessible for people who are new to Christianity as well as suitable for mature Christians wanting to increase their understanding of the Bible. The Bible Course will help you discover how Bible characters, stories, events and themes are all connected to form one big story, from Genesis to Revelation. It also provides the tools and skills to help apply the Bible to your everyday life.

An English learning program for adult migrants and overseas students. The Tutoring program assists students in learning how to read, write, speak and understand Australian culture and the English language, covering beginner to advanced levels. The Conversation Partner program is for those who would like to communicate better with others at all levels — classes are flexible and structured to suit specific interests and needs. Classes are either one-to-one or in small groups, held at the Syndal Baptist Life Centre. The course is in high demand so there is a waiting list for positions. Register your interest below.

Enjoying God as we delight in his creation. Honouring God by caring for his creation. Engaging with God as we pray for his creation. Our Creation Care team exists to help us, as God's church, to better enjoy God's creation and better care for it. Throughout the year they run events, resources and activities to help our church family engage with and care for the world God lovingly made.
