Conferences & Events
Syndal is fully equipped to host your next conference. From 20 to 450 people, we’ve got all bases covered. Our Main Auditorium seats 450 people. Our additional auditorium seats 300.
Functions & Meetings
No matter the size or requirements of your next function, Syndal can host you! We have Meeting Rooms with inbuilt AV systems as well as kitchenette access.
Weddings
Celebrate your special day in style with Syndal! We have rooms for ceremonies of any size up to 450 guests. Our technical staff are trained in all AV systems and will assist you professionally and stress-free on the day.
Funerals & Thanksgiving Services
We have rooms for services of any size up to 450 guests. Our technical staff will assist you professionally and stress-free on the day (subject to availability).
FACILITIES
Rooms for Hire
West Auditorium
Our West Auditorium seats 450 people with audio and live stream capabilities. Includes a separate section for parents with glass walls for viewing, a kitchen next to the auditorium, and a lobby outside.
Individual seats can be removed or re-configured to your event’s style. Common set ups include conference seating or round tables for meals.
East Auditorium
Our East Auditorium seats up to 300 with audio and live stream capabilities. Includes a separate section for parents with glass walls for viewing, a large fellowship area and kitchen next door. Secured pew seating.
Activity Centre
The Activity Centre has a low stage and can be set up in any configuration. Ideal for groups of 80 or less. Includes a kitchenette, two projector screens, and audio. Access to cups, mugs, tables and chairs upon request.
Meeting Rooms 1–3
Individually ideal for groups of up to 10, divided by operable walls. Combine for up to 50 people. Fitted with TVs, whiteboards, conference tables, and access to urns, mugs, cups and a kitchenette on request. Great as break-out rooms too.
Meeting Rooms 4–5
Individually ideal for groups up to 15, divided by operable walls. Combine for up to 40 people. Includes a projector, whiteboard, built-in sound system with mics, piano, and a drinks cart. Located near bathrooms with kitchenette access.
Meeting Room 6
A quiet, relaxed space with a couched area and conference table. Includes a TV, whiteboard, and a drinks cart with urn, cups and mugs. Located near the bathrooms with kitchenette access.
East Meeting Room
Ideal for a meeting of up to 10 with a conference table and access to urns, mugs, cups and a kitchenette on request. Also serves well as a break-out room.
East Fellowship Area
Located next to the East Auditorium, fitted with a 70-inch TV and a kitchen with servery. Suitable for standing events or can be fitted with seats and tables on request.
Clack Room
A medium-sized room in the older part of the building, suitable for 10–25 people. Includes a conference table, chairs, couches, TV, whiteboard, and access to a connected kitchen with urns, mugs and cups on request.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common Questions
Syndal has a car park out the back with 140+ spaces. For larger events parking in surrounding streets or the car park across the road may be required.
Technical operators are hired at additional cost, and they can provide required technical support such as sound, lighting, livestream, and video recording.
Technical support is subject to team availability.
We do not offer catering for events. However, Cafe Salt, located on the lower level of the building is open for coffees and light meals on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Please contact the church office for a recommendation of caterers who often cater for events held at Syndal Baptist Church.
West Auditorium: approx 450 with row seating, 600 standing room, or 220 round table set up.
East Auditorium: approx 300 with pew seating.
East Fellowship Area: 20–80 people.

Equipment in meeting rooms may include a projector/TV, microphone (upon request), tables and chairs. Rooms also include glasses, mugs and urns (upon request).
Laptops with HDMI can be connected to the projectors or TV screens in our function rooms and event rooms.
Syndal Baptist Church has free onsite WiFi available (upon request).
