60+ at Syndal Baptist Church
Welcome to the 60+ group at Syndal Baptist Church. I'm Tim Dyer, and I'd love to get to know you. We have lots of mid-week activities throughout the year for you to join in.
There's lots on throughout the year
Come and connect over morning tea, friendship, craft, Bible study and worship. Here's what's happening across the week.
Tuesday Friends
2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month at Café Salt, from 10:00 am — morning tea and chats.
Thursday Friends
1st & 3rd Thursday of the month at Café Salt and Meeting Rooms 4 & 5. Morning tea from 10:30 am; guest speaker from 11:00 am. There's an annual cost (approx. $30) to help cover morning tea and other expenses. Across the year there are special events — a massive morning tea, a bus trip, a movie event and more.
Craft Group
Every Monday from 10:00 am in Meeting Rooms 4 & 5 during school terms. Make new friends while honing your craft skills — just bring your own knit, crochet or craft projects. Contact Ewah at elee@sb.org.au to get involved.
Know Your Bible (KYB)
A ladies' Bible study on Wednesday mornings, 10:00–11:30 am in Meeting Rooms 4 & 5 during school terms. Open to all women in the church, not just 60+. For more info, contact Ewah at elee@sb.org.au.
Walking Group
Walks on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Meet at the SBC carpark and carpool together to a park — a variety of locations within driving distance. Contact Ewah at elee@sb.org.au to join.
60+ Mid-week Services
One 60+ service each term, normally Tuesday mornings from 10:00 am — songs, prayer and a speaker, followed by morning tea together (bring a plate if you'd like).
60+ Birthday Parties
Once a term we throw a 60+ birthday party with delicious food, great conversation and entertainment. Anyone 60+ with a birthday that quarter is invited, plus one guest. To be invited, email Ewah at elee@sb.org.au with your birth date (the year isn't needed).
Please note: Tuesday Friends, Thursday Friends and the Walking Group take a break in December and January.
