If you’re new to faith or simply curious about it, we'd love you to join our next Alpha Course at Syndal Baptist!
Alpha is for everyone, everywhere, to have the opportunity to explore faith – to ask questions, share stories, and encounter Jesus in a way that is real and personal, no matter your age, background, language, or belief.
Alpha at Syndal includes the three key elements…
connection (over a free meal!)
content (short well-produced video sessions with discussion breaks!)
conversations (as much or as little as you are comfortable with, with the only silly question being the one you don’t ask!)

This will be a fun introductory night where there’ll be finger food, coffee, live music, as well as the sharing of some Alpha stories by some of our guests from previous years…
You’ll have the opportunity to check out whether Alpha is for you by experiencing a lot of the elements of it for yourself!
And why not bring along a friend or two while you’re at it? There’s no pressure, no commitment, no charge… and no need to register beforehand! (Just let us know if you’re planning on coming so we’ve got enough food…)
Alpha will then run for 7 more Tuesday nights from 7-9pm.

What should I expect?
Hospitality
When Alpha runs in person, we love to enjoy food and drink together. Online, we encourage participants to grab their favourite beverage or snack (maybe even a little dessert) as we get started.
Video content
The Alpha talks (short videos) are designed to engage people from all walks of life and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith and unpack the basics of Christian belief, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”
Conversation
The discussion time is an opportunity for people to respond to the talk, hear from others, and contribute their own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.
